"The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" star Rachel Zegler has been channeling various characters from the hit dystopian franchise while promoting the new prequel.
Zegler's outfits seem to pay homage to different looks from prior "Hunger Games" movies. Take a look below.
"The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" hits theaters on Friday.
Promotion for "The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" began with an event in Times Square in New York.
Zegler and her boyfriend Josh Andrés Rivera, who also stars in the prequel, wore outfits that pay homage to their characters.
At the European premiere in Berlin, Zegler referenced Katniss Everdeen's fiery dress from "The Hunger Games."
In the original movies, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) was known as "The Girl on Fire" because of the theatrical dresses she wore. When she twirled, her dresses produced an artificial, non-lethal flame.
Zegler appeared to wear another Katniss-inspired look at the London premiere of "Songbirds & Snakes."
This particular outfit is likely inspired by Katniss' outfit during the "Tribute Parade" in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
At the Los Angeles premiere, Zegler's outfit resembled Annie Cresta's wedding dress.
Annie Cresta (Stef Dawson) was one of the tributes from District 4. She was in a relationship with the fan-favorite character Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin).
In "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2," Annie and Finnick get married, and Annie wears a beautiful white dress that looks similar to Zegler's outfit at the Los Angeles premiere.
