BETHESDA, Md., March 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR magazine has created a new website designed for a faster, more user-friendly visitor experience with a seamless new ad reach.
Reimagined for a modern aesthetic and built on a completely new platform, www.ecmag.com improves readability through a streamlined, bold design that retains its core and unique editorial resources. As the digital partner to its flagship print publication, the magazine's new website eliminates intrusive graphic and text clutter while enabling multichannel advertising across all devices.
"Our new site amps the user experience with faster, easier readability to maximize each visit, along with greater value for all adverting assets," said Andrea Klee, publisher.
In line with the print publication, the new website simultaneously launches with a key publishing change for Integrated Systems Contractor (ISC), the magazine's former bimonthly supplement. The ISC content is now incorporated throughout the print and digital editorial content, reflecting the 75 percent of electrical contractors now firmly entrenched in low-voltage systems including security, fire/life safety, voice/data, building automation, etc.
Also new this year, ads will now be sold and placed per channel. All advertisements will seamlessly display run-of-site and on every device and platform, including hover ads across all pages with more complementary article placement. The site follows the IAB New Standard Ad Unit Portfolio to adjust to a variety of screen sizes and resolution capabilities.
"Instead of purchasing a single ad on a single page, advertisers are now buying into a campaign across all of the website's pages," said Digital Editor Timothy Johnson.
"Ads stay with the reader—but are not intrusive, and it's much easier for our advertising partners to know what they will get for their investment."
Streamlined design elements also include easier navigation, cleaner text, swiping sidebars, more prominent images to aid storytelling, increased multimedia including videos, webinars, email newsletter signup, the comprehensive 2018 Media Kit and editorial calendar.
Later this year, the Market Research section will feature the anticipated 2018 Profile of the Electrical Contractor, the industry's most in-depth, independent biennial survey.
ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR magazine is also available in print and through a mobile app available through the iTunes Store, Google Play and Apple, Android and Kindle versions.
Published by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR magazine reaches 80,000+ subscribers, more than any other industry publication. (301) 657-3110 / www.ecmag.com / LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google Plus.
